Calling all young changemakers! TECO is excited to host the Youth Climate Leadership Bootcamp 2025, a high-impact, four-day learning and innovation program designed for Tanzanian youth aged 18–30 who are passionate about environmental stewardship, climate justice, and sustainable development.
Held in the heart of the capital at the TECO Climate Action Center, this immersive event brings together 60 selected participants from across the country including students, activists, innovators, and community youth leaders.
Bootcamp Highlights:
• Workshops on climate policy, advocacy, and environmental law
• Field visits to nearby conservation and renewable energy sites
• A “Green Ideas Lab” for prototyping sustainable solutions with mentorship from experts
•Leadership coaching from guest speakers including government reps, climate scientists, and eco-entrepreneurs
At the end of the bootcamp, participants will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges. The top three projects will receive:
• Seed funding of up to TSh 5,000,000
• Mentorship from TECO’s innovation hub
• National media exposure
“Tanzania’s climate future will be shaped by the creativity and courage of its youth,” said TECO’s Education Coordinator, Francia Mmanda. “This bootcamp is a springboard for bold, informed climate leadership.”
